  • Are you a seasoned Accounts Payable professional with a knack for navigating complex financial landscapes? We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Global Accounts Payable Specialist to oversee our global AP operations. This is a critical individual contributor role, perfect for someone who thrives on direct engagement with vendors and is adept at managing payment strategies in a challenging financial environment. In this role, you'll be instrumental in optimizing our cash flow and strengthening vendor relationships during a period of significant financial restructuring. You'll be the primary point of contact for all global accounts payable matters, requiring extensive communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the global AP process from end to end—you’re the captain of this ship.
  • Proactively engage with a high volume of vendors globally to discuss payment terms, address inquiries, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage vendor relationships like a diplomat (or therapist)—you’ll be on the phone a lot.
  • Set up and negotiate payment plans that keep both vendors and the company happy(ish).
  • Track, schedule, and prioritize payments to optimize cash flow and avoid financial chaos.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations to make sure everyone’s aligned.
  • Keep our AP ledger accurate, organized, and audit-ready (you’re the type who color-codes).
  • Spot problems before they become problems—forewarned is forearmed.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance team to monitor cash flow forecasts and strategically manage outgoing payments to optimize working capital.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline AP processes, enhance automation, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of AP experience, ideally in a complex global environment.
  • A proven track record of rocking AP in complex companies–you've been there, done that, and successfully negotiated payment plans like a boss.
  • Comfort working solo in a hands-on role or within an international finance team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills—you’ll talk to vendors more than your friends. You're a natural at building rapport and negotiating, even when the stakes are high.
  • Super-organized, detail-obsessed, and flexible enough to juggle shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (bonus points for NetSuite).
  • A sense of humor, thick skin, and the ability to turn “we can’t pay you yet” into a productive conversation.
  • A solid grasp of financial statements and cash flow forecasting.
  • A "can-do" attitude and a knack for spotting problems and turning them into solutions.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a bonus!
