This pen has the weight and heft of a much more expensive pen. When I hand it to someone to borrow, they always do a double take. Beautiful matte-black finish and real 23k gold. Beautiful!

This is the second of two pens I purchased as a self-gift, alongside a lacquer blue pen. I've always enjoyed the Classic Century pens. This black with gold trim pen. I chose to have engraved in the matching gold color, and as expected it looks great. Absolutely no issues with writing, the slim profile fits well in a shoulder pocket. I admit, I bought two of the Century pens, in case for whatever reason the first one walks away!

I love the feel of my Cross Medalist and Classic pens and pencils. After 40 years, nothing feels as good in my hand. The only problems I have are finding eraser refills and the fact that that I have lost three pencils because others recognize the quality and balance of these fine writing instruments.

Cross Pencil I have had for years finally stopped working (would not load lead). Sent it to Cross for repair. Couldn't be fixed so Cross replaced the pencil with the Classic Century Pencil. Feels great in my writing hand. Lead advance with a simple twist. Beautiful piece.
