I bought the Cross Foundry Polished Chrome Fountain Pen (Medium Nib) for myself. Visually, it looks beautiful with the gold PVD appointments, and it was incredibly easy to get started with no hard starts. The gold PVD-coated stainless steel nib writes fairly decently and smoothly. My only complaint is the weight. It is exceptionally light, which makes it feel a bit cheap in the hand—especially if you are used to the premium heft of a classic chrome metal Cross or a Montblanc. It is a reliable writer, but it lacks the luxury weight you might expect from its appearance.
