- TGTim G.Verified BuyerBought For Myself2 weeks agoBought For MyselfReviewingFoundry Polished Chrome with PVD Gold Appointments and Gold PVD Coated Stainless Steel Medium Nib Fountain PenRated 4 out of 5 starsLooks Beautiful & Writes Well, But Too Lightweight
I bought the Cross Foundry Polished Chrome Fountain Pen (Medium Nib) for myself. Visually, it looks beautiful with the gold PVD appointments, and it was incredibly easy to get started with no hard starts. The gold PVD-coated stainless steel nib writes fairly decently and smoothly. My only complaint is the weight. It is exceptionally light, which makes it feel a bit cheap in the hand—especially if you are used to the premium heft of a classic chrome metal Cross or a Montblanc. It is a reliable writer, but it lacks the luxury weight you might expect from its appearance.

This pen is a joy to write with. It doesn't skip. It writes smoothly. You can choose whether you're going to use a rollerball or some other pen type. So that's like having a multiple use device.
More importantly when you take it out to use, it's like having luxury in the palm of your hand. This pen makes me choose my words carefully. It's not cute being entitled and rude, even if your pen says otherwise.
